ISSA is the leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide.
Our purpose is to change the way the world views cleaning.
The association represents businesses, organizations, and professionals across the entire cleaning industry chain, including manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, wholesalers, distributors, in-house service providers, building service contractors, residential cleaners, and more.
As Marketing Manager, you will develop strategies and tactics to engage with members, generate leads, and generate revenue for the association.
You will work collaboratively with internal divisions to understand business needs and goals, then develop and deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution to support ISSAs business objectives.
You will use research, analysis, and planning to develop, track, and measure marketing initiatives.
You will partner with various other members of the marketing team to continually collaborate in developing joint, comprehensive campaigns.
You have effective project management skills along with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
You take initiative, are deadline-oriented, and can work in a consistently changing environment.
This position will have specific responsibility and accountability for meeting goals for ISSAs:
Membership Division Workplace Solutions Association, Powered by ISSA Indoor Environmental Healthcare and Hospitality Association, a Division of ISSA Other departments or divisions as deemed necessary Duties and Responsibilities Meet regularly with ISSA division and department leads to determine goals, assess needs, and set direction for marketing and communication strategies.
Work with division and department leads to create budgets aimed at achieving key business objectives and monitor these budgets over the course of the fiscal year.
Identify key audience segments and if necessary lead or commission additional market research to better understand the target market.
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans in collaboration with the entire marketing team.
Draft project briefs and lay out project assignments for marketing initiatives and communications campaigns.
Manage all project steps within ISSAs work management application and keep stakeholders informed of project updates and plan changes.
Continually monitor plan progress and measure the effectiveness of marketing activities, adjusting the strategy if needed.
Make recommendations on innovative communication tactics that could benefit the internal stakeholders and Marketing Team.
Ensure compliance with marketing best practices, provide quality assurance for projects, and identify process improvements.
Represent ISSA at industry events when appropriate.
Key Competencies Thorough understanding of traditional and emerging marketing tactics and channels.
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
Ability to manage a variety of complex marketing and communication projects such as direct mail production, email campaigns, webinars, video production, etc.
Proficient in goal setting, marketing planning, and project budgeting.
Excellent overall communication skills.
Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and deadlines.
Familiarity with marketing analytics to measure the results of initiatives and campaigns.
Prior experience managing internal customers, external vendors, contract employees, and/or interns.
An independent work ethic combined with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Ability to set realistic expectations with team leaders and to seek creative approaches/solutions for their needs.
Mandatory Qualifications Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field from an accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a marketing or communications role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Pardot, and Adobe PDF software.
Beneficial Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marketing Manager or equivalent role.
Experience working with trade associations or a similar not-for-profit environment a plus.
Knowledge of the cleaning, facilities management, and/or restoration industry a plus.
Prior experience using a project management software such as Asana.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
